FAQ

Questions

About the work

Is this just AI writing articles?

AI does the drafting. People decide what gets written, read what comes out, and correct the strategy when it misses. The correction is the part that matters, and it is the part a tool cannot do on its own.

Who writes the briefs?

Our SEO team. Every piece traces back to a specific search and a specific reason it should exist.

Can I approve articles before they publish?

Yes, and you can turn that off. Most people turn it off after the first month.

Do you work on my existing site or build a new one?

Either. If your site has traffic or links already, we keep them and build on top.

What platforms do you support?
Owner to confirmSupported platforms. The current list of website platforms PilotDeck works with is needed to answer this.
Do I need to know anything about SEO?

No. If we ever send you something you cannot read, that is our mistake.

About results

How long until I rank?

Your first article exists on day one. Ranking takes months. Anyone giving you a date is guessing.

What moves first?

Impressions, then average position, then clicks. If you only watch clicks in month one you will conclude nothing is happening while quite a lot is.

What if it does not work?

Cancel any month. Everything published stays on your site.

Do you guarantee results?

No. Guarantees in this category are either meaningless or dishonest, and usually attached to a contract you cannot leave.

About AI search

What is GEO?

It is the work of getting your business named inside answers from ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini and Google's AI Overviews, rather than ranked in a list of links. The underlying work overlaps heavily with good SEO. The difference is in structure and precision, because a model has to be able to lift a claim cleanly.

Which engines do you track?
Owner to confirmTracked engines. The current list of AI engines whose citations PilotDeck tracks is needed to answer this.
Is AI search replacing Google?

Not replacing. Adding. Most people still search, and a growing number ask instead. You need both, and the work that wins one largely wins the other.

About the company

Do you do backlinks?

No exchanges, no bought links, no networks. If a provider is offering you a link package, understand what you are taking on.

Do you take on competitors in the same niche?
Owner to confirmCompetitor policy. State whether PilotDeck takes on two clients competing in the same niche, so this answer can be given plainly.
Who owns the content?

You do.
